Earth Day!

To celebrate Earth Day and bring awareness to the world's youth, the first grade will be taking a field trip to the Glendale movie theater to watch the new movie "Earth." Over the next few weeks, my goal is get the children thinking about how their everyday actions affect the health of the earth. Hopefully, the 3 R's (reduce, reuse, and recycle) will become a part of their vocabulary.

To kick off this topic, I am asking each child to bring in one to two items that CAN be recycled by this Friday, April 24. Hopefully, this sparks discussion at home and the children learn that they can make a difference.
